Alec

Alec is a 21 year old former water polo player and swimmer who has been active in the water for as long as he can remember. He was originally taught to swim competitively by former olympian Lynn Gautschi at the age of 9 and has had great passion for the sport ever since. He is a third year student at West Valley College and will be transferring to San Jose State University this Fall (2024). He sees the ability to swim as not just a fun recreational activity but a potentially life saving essential skill for all people of all ages. Between two jobs as a swim instructor Alec has had dozens of students (ages 3+) who have all advanced their water skills dramatically. With his background as a lifeguard he can also ensure a safe and fun learning environment for all of his students.
